Texoma
Decent day on Texoma with my buddy Scott. The fish weren't to active, the lake still has a ton of bait in it, resulting in the fish feeding quickly and then shutting down. Ended up with a half dozen fish or so. The fish are fat and healthy and the lake is looking good for the coming years.

Full moon hangover
Went and chased some smallies this morning. The fishing was really slow, the full moon likely did not help. Did see a family of otter playing along the rocks. That was the high light of day. Caught a couple grunt smallies and a sand bass.
Slow.
Slow day on the rocks today. A couple grunt smallest and some sandbass. Did get to watch a family of otters playing along the rocks for a little bit. Better luck next time.

Creek'n
Went to the creek this morning with the 3wt. It was a fun couple hours with several nice creek bass landed along with some redears and long eared sunfish.

Day on the Rocks
Spent the day fishing the rocks. It was a really good day with a lot of nice fish brought to hand and several more lost do to thrown hooks.

Fishing In The Rain
My wife doesn't get out with me a lot, but when she does she is a trooper. The rain was suppose to have moved out by now, but hadn't. We went ahead and fished all morning through it. The fishing was so so, but the company was great. We saw a bobcat, deer, otter, bald eagles and nice 15lb flat head laying on the bottom of the river.

Spots and Stripes
Today was a good day on the river. First cast yielded a nice striper. Then fish started blowing bait along the shore resulting in some fast action. Action slowed and I went looking for some spotted bass, caught some nice spots as well. The day ended with some more striper brought to hand.

Quick Morning Session
Went to a pond for a few hours this morning to see if I could put a bend in the 3wt. Caught some fish, likely the best or one of the better longears I've ever caught.

Blown Out
5-16-15
With all this rain we have been having pretty much all the water around here is chocolate milk. The rain is good and all the lakes are currently above flood pool. I wanted to go fishing this morning but knew my options for clear water were limited. I made a run to the river thinking it would be doable, man was I wrong. It was chocolate milk and the catching was terrible. Fished hard all morning with only a couple buffalo to show for it, definitely not the intended species. The gar where spawning in the shallow riffles in the creeks, if only the main river was this clear. I was able to get a few of them to take a swipe at a clouser but didn't mess with them to much. Got a couple cool pics and let them do their thing. Once the water clears up some we should have some great fishing the rest of the year.

Ant Time
Everything seems to be running a month ahead of schedule this year with the warm winter and and spring. The bluegills are stacking out on beds and as always eager to eat. Caught these today on foam ants and spinner flies.
