High Five Number Five

Fished the Guadalupe River over Thanksgiving. The fishing was a little slower than it was last year at this time, but the average fish was much bigger. Caught fish on all the usual; egg, san juan worm, and wooly buggers. There was a lot of moss and leafs in the water making it difficult to keep a clean fly. GRTU has already started stocking the river, with TP&W stocking every week in December and January for a total of 21,000 trout. The fishing should only get better.

  3. Thanks for the report. I really need to get down there this year. Where is a good place to look for info on where to fish and put in etc? I've never fished it and I think my new sister n law has a cabin there too. No more excuses!
