Hawg Tied

Happy New Year Everyone !!

Here's a fly I've been working on. It is tied on a long shank wide gap worm hook. It rides hook point up and is nearly 100% weedless and still has a great hook up ratio. It has the rubber kicker legs for movement along with a bit of silicone skirt for added movement and body mass. The rest is spun deer hair. I prefer using belly hair since it floats better. The fly is 4" long.

You can easily change out the spun deer hair for a foam popper head. I have some Rainy frog bodies and diver joom heads coming in the mail and will post some pics up once i get them in.

Hope yall enjoy the fly.

  1. Nice tie...Looks like something the bucketmouths would just go ape-shit over.

Awesome looking fly which would be a killer at daylight on any lake. I especially like the legs and the floatant body style. Thanks for sharing a great pattern

  7. I stumbled on this pattern in another site and worked my way over to your blog. This pattern is fricken awesome!! Do you have a step by step for it or a materials list? I'd love to tie some up to lay in wait until the summer rolls around. What weight rod do you toss these on? So fricken awesome... Thanks!
