Lake Hawkins Pickerel

Hit up Lake Hawkins this morning for some Pickerel fishing. Never caught a pickerel before but have always wanted to catch one. Rob Woodruff told me they either want a fly that is bright and shinny or a dark ugly fly. He notes it’s just a day by day preference with no correlation with water or weather conditions. I started the day off with the fly in the picture and picked several fish up fairly quickly.
