Harvest Moon Carp

9-17-16

The moon was big and bright this morning with a of blue wing teal flying around at first light. I started the morning off throwing a crease fly for bass along the edges of the flats. Caught a couple decent largemouths. Once the sun got up enough to spot some carp I switched out the crease fly for a carp pattern. It was an extremely still morning and there wasn't a ripple on the water. I saw plenty of fish today but they were extremely spooky. The wind never really picked up and the fish stayed cautious all morning. I was able to trick a few of them but not gunna lie would have liked to have had a few more eats.
