Summer Gill'n

Today yielded a lot of gills. I am afraid the water has warmed to the point the bigger fish have moved deep. The big gills will be a little more active at first and last light. Other than that the big fish bite will return when  water temps start cooling off in the fall. But I caught many nice 5-7" gills cast after cast today. The smaller fish always have the best coloring to them so I can't be to hard pleased.

  1. Hey, Casey, 5-7 inchers is the bulk of the Bluegill I catch here in Colorado. They are great fun and love the colors on most of them. Thanks for sharing!

  2. No doubt a 5-7" bluegill is still a really nice fish and some of the prettiest native warm water fish in the states.
